No payment order goes through unverified.
An email from a supplier with "new bank details". A message from the CEO asking for an urgent transfer. A call in their own voice. All of it can be faked today. Verifix confirms every payment order and every bank account change through a different channel, with the person who can really approve it. No confirmation, no payment.
The problem
- Your usual supplier emails a new IBAN. You pay a real invoice into a fraudster's account. The bank executes and does not refund.
- The CEO writes "send this transfer today, I will explain later". The person who pays obeys and nobody checks.
- Now they also call with a cloned voice, or show up on a video call. Thirty seconds of public audio is enough.
- Insurance does not refund the transfer. It covers forensics and communications, not the money that left.
In 2025 businesses reported 3.046 billion USD lost to fake payment orders (BEC) to the FBI, 24,768 complaints (FBI IC3, 2025 report, published April 2026). Funds transfer fraud is 27 % of cyber insurance claims, the average loss per incident is 141,000 USD and 52 % starts with a compromised mailbox (Coalition, Cyber Claims Report, 5 March 2026). Coalition's deepfake endorsement (9 December 2025) pays response services, not the transfer.
What Verifix does
Every payment order or account change that arrives by email, phone, WhatsApp or video call is logged and confirmed through another channel with the authorised person: a one-time code on their phone, or a call to a number you already had, never the one in the message. Verifix does not read your email and does not filter anything: it verifies the order. You keep a record of who approved what, for your accountant, your auditor or your insurer. Set up in one afternoon, no change of bank or accounting software.
How it works
- The invoice or the account change arrives where it always does: the company's billing mailbox, the accountant's email or the accounting software.
- Verifix lives inside those tools: a copy or alias of the billing mailbox (invoices@yourcompany) and an Outlook or Gmail add-in for the accountant's email, which read the IBAN on each invoice and check it against known suppliers; a module in the ERP or accounting software (Odoo first; then Holded, A3, Sage) that blocks the payment until it is confirmed; and, if you pay by batch file, the option to run the payment file through Verifix before uploading it to the bank.
- The approver gets the alert through the channel already on file (app or WhatsApp) and confirms or rejects. Never through the number or email in the message.
- No confirmation, the payment does not leave the ERP approval flow. With confirmation, you keep a record of who approved what, ready for your accountant, auditor and insurer.
Setup. Install the email add-in (2 minutes) or the ERP module (your IT person installs it, or we do on a 20-minute video call); register who approves for each client and their phone. No change of bank or software. A minimal web panel only for the log and so the accounting firm can see all its clients.
How you know it works. On day one Verifix sends you a simulated fraud (a "change of account" email from a real supplier) and you see it stop the payment and ask for confirmation; every month, a drill and a report with verified orders, detected changes and rejections, valid for your insurer.
